Hi reader,

We all have heard or seen this sometime somewhere:

In other words, a little action on a regular basis, always gives you something extra over the period of time, compared to doing less or none. This is what I realized while looking back at all the blogs I have written but have never been able to regularise. To improve, I have started something called micro (µ) blogging, with the name µDecoding, wherein I will be trying to put out the daily decodes or maybe something (even as little as 0.01% or simply a Hello 🙂). You can find it on the blog’s homepage, or can simply Subscribe/Follow and get the daily decodes right in your emails or WordPress feeds.

Hope is a good thing. Why? We all know but at times, we need to remind ourselves. This is something we are going to do today. I will be sharing a few stories that really moved me and every time I’m in trouble, I think of them, and just wonder if they can keep their hope “this shall too pass” alive, and go ahead of it, then why not me?

I was out with two of my friends, eating fries, and not sure why, we were just discussing life. This is when one of my friends shared the story of one of her childhood friends and her intense, painful struggle. Her friend’s mother was separated and was suffering from cancer. She took the battle on and fought with it, and finally recovered. The story doesn’t end here, she got diagnosed with cancer again, and this time it was Liver, the last stage. Her daughter (my friend’s friend) was a little elder now and was earning at least to take care of the family.

However, some situations are so painful, that they just shatter you from the inside. A lot of things happened while she was fighting cancer, like the blood relations refusing to even let them stay in their other house which was near the hospital. Somehow, she managed to find a place, where she took care of her mother, helping her to even do the basic things. When the liver is healthy, the eye-balls are white, when it’s jaundice, the color changes to yellow. When it is 50% damaged, the eyes turn red, and when it is completely damaged, the eyes turn black. She watched all these transitions in her mother’s eyes in a single day! This shakes my soul even today. We think we are going through a lot, it is something which we can’t even compare ever. Not all people have that strength that this daughter had. When we are in trouble, that God up there, gives us some extra strength, which we may not have if we have to face these situations on some other day. Keep that hope alive.

Another story is of my office colleague’s friend. His mother was also suffering from cancer. His wife was pregnant and the expected delivery was close. His mother’s situation was so terrible, that she can’t even move her body, not even her hands. Just imagine, you are right now scrolling through this blog, think of this finger, how lucky you are! Adding to that, if someone even helped her to move her body, it pained her so much that she would scream. Thinking of the situation, where at one place, a new member is soon coming into this world, and on the other, someone is so ill, that everyone feels God should relieve her from this pain. The day, the baby was born and saw its bedridden and in pain grandmother, same day the mother also got relief, from this world. There are so many such stories, and maybe you have also heard about them. This is what our life is: All the good, the not good, success, the struggles, the achievements, and the losses. What we have, always, is hope.

Think of your life now for a moment, haven’t you faced any problem in life so far, which at once made you stuck, like now what? What will happen now? What will I do? How will I get out of it? And the thought of someway, it could end and you be free. Happened, right? And you also came out of it. You always kept the hope alive, that it will also pass. Even today, you must be having some problem in life, and maybe leveled up and more than the earlier ones. You still feel stuck, like how will this end? Or maybe like me at times, when will there be no problem at all. But, we all know, this will never end! We will always have problems in life, and we will also solve them, gradually. Either we will succeed, or we will learn, but we will always move on.

Life is always challenging, and we are always highly aspired to carry so many dreams. The bigger the dream, bigger the challenge life will bring. Always a tough competition! But, don’t worry, don’t panic. Things will happen if you keep trying and keep the hope alive. If you lose hope, that things can get better, you will even stop trying. And if you will stop trying, things will never happen at all. Also, there are few things that people do or say (including me) when they are challenged or in trouble. People start cursing their luck and destiny. They become so hopeless, that they think the world has ended for them. Things will never get better and this is it. They will curse God, curse their destiny, curse their luck, curse everything. I am not sure how I also adopted it, but I have got my lesson, and I have actually stopped this.

You might have read in books like The Secret or Sapiens, that you should speak and believe in your dreams in order to manifest them. I would say, not sure about manifesting, but you should speak about it and believe in them. It will help you to stay positive, and keep moving and working in that direction.

Always remember, no matter how much you earn, how luxurious your car is, or how big and comfortable your house is, we all need just the basic necessities to stay alive, and these are air, food, clothes, and a home. Even if these are not expensive, we will stay alive, and keep moving towards our goal, hoping that one day, we will reach there.

Keep the hope alive!

Cheers,
Navneet
