Hi reader,

You know in all of the public domain applications (Mobile applications or websites) that you can access from your mobile devices or computers, for example, Google, there are two kinds of worlds. One world is what you see, the homepage of any website (including this webpage you are reading) which is PUBLIC, while there is another world that we can’t see externally but is more of the backbone of all these applications, called the INTERNAL or PRIVATE world. Whenever you perform any action on the PUBLIC world, a request goes from the PUBLIC world to the PRIVATE world which then authenticates the request, then collects the information you requested, and returns it to the PUBLIC world to serve you. This is common everywhere, but why? Why is the need for two worlds?

The primary need of two worlds is SAFETY and SECURITY. Suppose, all of your email credentials or banking passwords are available in public, how safe your money in the bank accounts will be? This is why there are two worlds to create a boundary between what amount of information we can keep in public vs what should be kept in the private world.

If you use social media, you must have come across posts like these:

Sort of speaking the same thing with different words, right? But did you understand the core belief? To keep things private?

Let me share a story of why am I writing about this today, while most of the times you hear/read me say to be open and share.

I used to share things with people until I experienced how they can backfire at any moment. I was out with friends where some people knew more than the others, few kept things within and few weren’t able to. At that moment, there was a realization that how your things can be a gossip point (behind your back or at the front). Obviously, nobody likes to become a gossip, but it happens. I here quote, I do not mean that it is the problem or mistake of anyone or somebody did it intentionally, but these things just happen. At times, we are not able to keep control on our tongue and thoughts, and just go with the flow. Also, I never asked anyone to keep these things as secret or don’t tell anyone kinds, I believed it is implicit. However, it wasn’t a big thing or big secret that went public, and also it can not be undone, so that’s all okay. But, the learning is big. Think wisely of what things you making public (even if it is your closest circle) and what you should keep private.

Ever since it happened, I wanted to write about it, and while going through it, I found this amazing blog and person, which highly recommend you should follow.

A Private Life Is A Happy Life – 5 Reasons to Keep Your Life Private

The whole blog is amazing, but this section just sums it all up!

Here are the 5 reasons why a private life is a happy life

  1. A private life is a happy life because when you value your privacy, you’re no longer a sitting duck for other people’s gossip.
  2. A private life is a happy life because it diminishes drama.
  3. A private life is a happy life because when you know what to keep to yourself, you no longer block your ability to accept, move on, and make decisions for yourself.
  4. A private life is a happy life because it enriches the most important relationship that you will ever have – the one you have with yourself.
  5. A private life is a happy life because it allows you to run out of f*cks to give, connect with people on a deeper level, and become a magnet for mutual relationships.

Fascinating, right? Do read that complete blog!

Everything in the universe has its own yin and yang, and so is about having the life “Private”. The more people keep things within themselves, like financial/health/social troubles, the more people will be pushed towards depression, and then the whole aftermath of depression.

Choosing a Private Life over Public Life doesn’t means to hide or don’t ask for help when needed, but to whom to ask is the question. You can appear like an open book and still be closed!

Take Care!
